We're Open!

The Point Wilson lighthouse opened to visitors for the 2023 season on April 29. We're not sure who was happier about it, the volunteer docents or the many visitors!

Saturday was a beautiful, warm day with great views of the mountains. The perfect weather drew the crowds to the lighthouse, where we had 206 visitors. Sunday was not quite as good with overcast skies, cooler temperatures, and a few sprinkles. Still, 151 people of all ages who came to visit the lighthouse. What a great start to our lighthouse season this year

The lighthouse is open on Saturdays and Sundays from 11am to 4pm through October 1. If you've never visited this icon of Port Townsend, you're really missing out. If you know the lighthouse well, but haven't visited in a while, we think you'll be pleased to find out about the progress the US Lighthouse Society at Point Wilson is making on preserving and restoring this wonderful site.
