On Friday a group of fellow lighthouse enthusiasts came for lunch at Fort Worden and for an in-depth tour of the Point Wilson Light Station. It was terrific to get to meet the folks who do for the Mukilteo Lighthouse what we do at Point Wilson.
As you can see, the day was perfect both for a picnic and for a lighthouse tour.
We had a great time comparing notes on how things were (and are) done the two lighthouses and picked up many valuable pointers from our colleagues, many of whom have been giving lighthouse tours much longer than we have.
At the end of their visit, the group presented their hosts with a truly lovely hand colored pen and ink drawing of the Point Wilson Lighthouse.
Thanks so much, everyone for coming to see us!
